Well, this is a very good question! Scientists have not been able to prove hair grows faster in summer, but we believe that the sun lightens the hair by bleaching it naturally, and this gives the impression that it’s growing faster.
Having said that- the sun does give us vitamin D and other good endorphines are released too, and so we are healthier (as long as we don’t have too much sun)- and healthier bodies, including the hair grow more faster!

Speaking personally, my hair grows at the same speed all the year around. I haven’t heard that it grew faster in summer before.
