      Hey Summerthomas

There are two very different parts of my job which I find equally exciting. The first is getting a result from an experiment that has taken literally MONTHS to set up. Sometimes this result is as tiny as one single glowing cell, but that’s enough to get me dancing and singing around the lab (usually annoying all my fellow scientists).

The other exciting part of my job is when I get to talk to the public, including you guys, about my work and why it’s important. I enjoy answering their questions and being able to talk about how we are trying to cure different diseases every day.

Of course putting on goggles, a mask and giant gloves and pulling things out of misty liquid nitrogen is pretty exciting too in a sci-fi film kind of way.

      Hi Summer

The most exciting part of my job is when i get to see our new drugs and experiments helping people in the hospital! I once worked on a drug that is now going to be used to help people with brain diseases! It is so satisfying and rewarding to know that my work really does help people, it’s an amazing feeling 🙂
