      I really want to find the ultimate way to TARGET direct drugs to where they are needed. We don’t need drugs to go all through a person’s body, we need them to go to where the disease is. And that is what I’m researching – ways of doing this. #But it’s not easy!

      If I could make any drug development possible it would be personalised drug development – where drugs can be tailored to a persons specific DNA. This is a specialised area called “pharmacogenomics” and is giving us important information at the moment about why some drugs work in some people but not others. If we can work out why this is we can develop different drugs for different people and get effective cures for everyone!
