• Question: What do you think about using stem cells etc for experiments? Would it be worth it if it could cure diseases?

      Hi! Well I actually use stem cells in my lab for my experiments.

      The controversy about stem cells is that they used to be taken from embryos. But now, we are able to take stem cells directly from the skin of adults!! So there is no ethical issues, we just take some skin, add a few chemicals to it in the lab, and almost like magic, we have stem cells!! It’s super cool! We are using the stem cells to grow brain cells, so that we can study them under the microscope!
