      I think that the amount a student has to pay depends on the course they are doing, their background (certain people eg those from large families get at least part-exemptions), which degree it is (eg undergraduate or postgraduate), which country they are from…………….not that straight-forward a question to answer!

      University fees depend on a lot of things like Anita has mentioned – but there is help available and they shouldn’t put you off studying wherever you want to. If you carry on as postgraduate you can be lucky like me and actually be paid to study and do research!

      Usually most people can get student loans to cover the costs of their science course. But right now the price is 9000 pounds every year. Sounds like a lot but in the big picture, it’s really just a small price to pay to invest in your future.

      Student loans are the way forward 🙂
