      Hi Liam

Alzheimer’s disease does not affect the muscles. The damage caused by Alzheimer’s disease is strictly confined to the brain. Small “bad” proteins build up into plaques and stop the brain from working properly by causing brain cells to die. These plaques are not found in muscles and so muscles work fine 🙂
