• Question: I read an article saying that there might be a link between diabetes and alzheimers that means people with diabetes are more at risk of alzheimers . If this was true, how could this be used to help develop treatment of alzheimers?

This is true! Good knowledge hannahgrimes!

Well one kind of diabetes is a lot like alzheimers- plaques build up in the pancreas, just like the plaques that build up in the brain!

We are currently using this knowledge to see if we can reduce the plaques in the pancreas, if we can, then we can also apply it to the brain to treat dementia!

      LOVE this question 🙂
      very good
