Oops, I answered this, and here it is again. My answer must have got lost.

I don’t think that I’ll ever achieve my research goals, as they are changing all the time. As we get an answer to one question, it leads us on to ask our next question! (Mind you, that’s half the fun!)

I keep coming up with new research goals all the time so I don’t think I’ll ever achieve them. You very rarely achieve all the targets you set for a project, and nothing ever goes perfectly. That’s the nature of research, but with most of my projects I’ve worked on, I’m proud of what I achieved.

      hey drdawesome

Hopefully I’ll achieve my first research goal by the end of my phd next year. But some of the goals that our lab group have will take over ten years of work before we complete them!

      Hey drdawesome!

Sweet name! Well, I’m pretty close! We are about to publish some cool studies. After that, I will go back to medical school to become a doctor to work in clinical research- I’ll be working in a hospital with new research goals 🙂 EXCITED!

I hope this experience talking to us scientists has inspired you to pursue your goals 🙂
