      Hi Hannah,

I most certainly have. A couple actually. One was a combined manipulation and drug treatment for tennis elbow. The other involved swallowing a camera/manipulator, so that my upper intestine contents could be seen and sampled from during a test. The treatment (a tablet) was one to prevent vomiting, I think.

I’ve also been on the other end of the Clinical trial ie administering the drug, doing the sampling, doing the analyses.

      Cheers,
      Anita.

      Hey Hannahgrimes

I’m actually taking part in a clinical trial at the moment but it’s a dietary and exercise intervention study so looking at the effects of food and fat on exercise performance. I don’t have to take any drugs but I do have to donate a lot of blood.

My friend also uses some of my blood each week to test new drugs on blood clotting in her lab. I’ve also done a study where the scientists have used MRI to take different pictures of my brain whilst I answered questions. The pictures from that were pretty cool. So there’s actually a lot of clinical trials that take place without drugs too!
