• Question: Does your job ever get boring?

      Hi there!

      There are aspects of any job that can be boring. I mean, I’m not madly fond of labelling tubes, for example! And culturing cells day after day can grow a little stale. But, on the whole, I really love the work that I do. I don’t want to do anything else!

      I find marking boring. I’m sure your teachers will say the same thing.

      There are parts of my job which are boring. But I think it is generally more exciting than most of my friend’s jobs. I get really bored sometimes when I have to sit and label 1000s of tubes or count millions of cells, but I just put the radio on really loud and sing/dance my way through it and annoy everyone else in the lab 🙂

      Yes! I think most jobs have some boring aspects…even pop stars like Rihanna or One Direction… they have to attend meetings etc, like the rest of us! Meetings definitely can be boring.

      Hi Eleanor,

      My job does get monotonous most of the times. That is, it is the same thing day in, day out. Doing the same thing can get stale but am reminded so often that it could be worse , like be in meetings all day, which I do not like at all.
