  Well, mad cow disease was firstly only in the UK. But then it spread all over Europe!
  
  Diseases don’t often stay in one country. Good question!

  There was a time with the transmission of disease was really slow, and sometimes people had enough time to develop immunity. These days the world is really small, and people can travel all over the place within a day. There is very little chance of a disease just staying in the UK!
